About the Architect

Let me think. What is there to say about me?

If I'm only allowed once sentence? I'm a part-time dog trainer, a part-time writer, and a full time dreamer and prophet. (Which is to say I'm basically just like everyone else.)

I'm interested in just about everything the world has to offer. I don't consider myself a polymath or an autodidact because I think those words are annoying, but I am on a mission to learn as many things as possible during my years in this life. Learning new things is the strongest antidote to the Horrors that I've found!

I also have a dog named Jesse (who you might find pattering around this site). He's a fifty-pound pit bull that I found wandering the streets when he was nine months old. He's two now, and I love him with all my heart!

FAQ

Why is it called "The Lost Art of Twilight?"

It's named after one of my favorite short stories ever, "The Lost Art of Twilight" by Thomas Ligotti. It's about a half-vampire preparing for a visit from their human relatives. It's also about the horrors of being alive. (Most of Ligotti's stories are about the horrors of being alive.)

What are some of your other favorite pieces of art?

The Magnus Archives (of course). Piranesi by Susanna Clarke. The Robot Series by Isaac Asimov. The movie Assassin 33 A.D. (and I mean that unironically!). The games Hades, Stardew Valley, and Skyrim (I know, but the heart loves what it loves).

I can't think of any more pretend questions.
